The first in a series of banknotes dominated by our celebrated and never regretted Zlatko Cico Kranjčar, who left us forever on March 1, 2021. Cute, joyful, a juggler eager for stunts and moves...It is in this spirit that we remember our Cico, one of the golden generation from 1982, one of the symbols who, among other things, is remembered for the popular "swallow", a characteristic jump with which he tore the nets.

In his younger days, journalists described him as "a boy with golden curls and a smile" with the addition of "totally cool". And just such outlines served as a model for a mascot tailored just according to such a description. The doll with the image of a blond boy immediately got the nickname Cico among the fans.

There are several basic key moments of Kranjčar’s impressive career: he is one of the main authors of “Dinamo’s Spring” in 1982; he was Rapid's engine on the way to the Cup Winners' Cup final; he was the captain in the first match of the Croatian national team in modern history; as a coach, he led Dinamo to two double crowns, twice introduced Dinamo to the group stage of the Champions League; in the coaching role, he led Zagreb to the championship title in 2002; as a coach, he led the national team to the 2006 World Championship in Germany.

This unique souvenir banknote is printed in an European Central Bank-approved printing house on the same paper used to make real banknotes and it also includes all the security details such as watermark, an invisible UV layer, micro-printing and hologram foil. Each banknote has its own serial number, which makes it unique and a valuable collector's item. Additional bonus to the banknote is found on the protective packaging which contains a QR code, the content of which creates additional value and adds to the authenticity of the product.
