ROVINJSKA BATANA
The Rovinjska batana is a wooden boat with a flat bottom, from 4 to 8.5 metres in length. It is stable and handles the sea well, regardless of the weather.

It appeared in the Adriatic ages ago and spread throughout Europe and the world as suitable for navigation in shallow waters.

The art of building a Rovinjska batana is protected as intangible Croatian cultural heritage.
