Model deskription
Trabakul is the name for a traditional sailing ship on the east coast of the Adriatic with two masts. Both masts have a mainsail. It's a cargo sailboat. It has a rounded bow and stern, eyes on the bow as an ornament, and below them openings for anchor chains. The front ends with an apple that is often modeled in the shape of a human head. Trabakuls were in use from the 18th to the early 20th century and later when sails were replaced by engines. Smaller trabaculae are 14-20 meters long, with a carrying capacity of 40-100 tons, and larger ones with a carrying capacity of 60-200 tons. They have 4-5 crew members, sometimes more. This model is closely related to the island of Korcula.
The model is 100% handmade from wood
